After completing the Google UX Design Certificate, I decided to apply the knowledge gained by designing a mobile application for book sales. The main objective of this project was to put into practice each stage of the user-centered design process, from initial research to high-fidelity prototypes. The goal was to create a simple, intuitive, and visually clean app focused on delivering a smooth user experience, where navigation is seamless and content is easily accessible. The design emphasizes quick search, smart filtering, personalized recommendations, and a layout that prioritizes usability and accessibility. This project allowed me to strengthen key concepts such as information architecture, interaction design, wireframing, and user testing, all within a realistic, hands-on approach tailored to user needs.
It is essential to conduct research on potential users of the application to define its direction in terms of design and functionality. By creating fictional user profiles, it becomes easier to visualize their needs, expectations, and behaviors, facilitating the development of a more intuitive experience tailored to their requirements.
